With Plasq’s Comic Life, you don’t have to be a graphic designer, artist, or even a good illustrator to produce your own comic. Its as simple as dragging and dropping your photos into Comic Life’s templates and “Voila!”, now you can sell your masterpiece to Marvel.

Comic Life is another Mac application that made me say “Tha was easy”. Here’s the first one I made titled “The Proposal”, a comic composed of photos from my iPhoto library.

The user interface is very intuitive. Its one of those software applications where you can open the software package and use it immediately without going to the help menu to perform an action. As a simple experiment, I had my friend, a non-technical person who only uses a computer for simple tasks such as email and web surfing, create his own comic. He easily dragged and dropped the elements into the comic by reading the helpful hints that lie adjacent to the page templates area. Just three easy steps:

1. Start with a panel or page template
2. Next add images from your iPhoto library
3. Add balloons and special lettering

For my friend, deciding which template to use and developing the story’s narrative sequence was probably the most difficult part in the entire comic creation process.
